Guide
Link your wallet
Prizes are paid in USDC to a wallet that you own. Linking it takes about a minute and costs nothing: you only sign a message. No transaction, no fees.
Before you start
- A TossKing account: sign in with your email (no password).
- A wallet that supports Base (any Ethereum wallet does): MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow... On a phone, any wallet app that supports WalletConnect works.
- Your wallet does not need any funds. Signing the message is free.
-
1
Open your account
On your phone, sign in on tossking.com in your usual browser (Chrome, Safari...). Open the menu, then Finish my account (it becomes My account once your account is complete). Scroll down to Wallet for prizes and tap Connect wallet.
-
2
Choose your wallet app
A window named All Wallets lists wallet apps. Tap yours, for example MetaMask or Trust Wallet. If you don't see it, type its name in Search wallet at the top. Your phone opens the app.
-
3
Approve the connection
In your wallet app, check that the request comes from tossking.com, then tap Connect (or Approve). This only shares your public address.
-
4
Come back to TossKing
Switch back to your browser. It can take up to 15 seconds, then the page says "Almost done: go back to your wallet app and sign the message". Your phone may show a banner to open the wallet: tap it, or open the wallet app yourself.
-
5
Sign the message
In your wallet app, you see a message that starts with "tossking.com wants you to sign in with your Ethereum account" (the standard wording, also used for Base). Tap Sign (or Confirm). It is free and sends nothing.
-
6
Done
Go back to TossKing: your wallet address is shown and the page says Wallet linked. That's all, you are ready for tournaments.
-
1
Open your account
Sign in on tossking.com, click Finish my account (once your account is complete: your avatar, then Settings), then Connect wallet under Wallet for prizes. With a wallet extension in your browser, you choose between two ways; without one, the QR code opens right away: go straight to way B below.
-
2
Way A: a browser extension
If a wallet extension is installed (MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet...), click its name. The extension opens: approve the connection if asked, then click Sign on the message. The page shows Wallet linked.
-
3
Way B: the wallet on your phone
Click Phone wallet (QR code). A QR code appears. In your wallet app, open the scanner (often a QR icon at the top of the home screen) and scan it. Approve the connection, then sign the message in the app. The page on your computer updates by itself.
Something went wrong?
Nothing happens after I approved or signed
Go back to the TossKing tab and wait a few seconds: the page reconnects by itself. If nothing happens after 30 seconds, close the window and tap Connect wallet again.
"Wallet connection cancelled"
The window was closed or the request was refused in the wallet. Tap Connect wallet again.
"The signature request expired"
The message must be signed within 10 minutes. Start again from Connect wallet.
"This wallet is already linked to another account"
One wallet can only be linked to one account (one account per person). Use another wallet, or sign in with the account that already uses it.
"Your wallet cannot be changed while you are in a tournament..."
For your safety, the wallet is locked from your check-in to the end of that tournament, and while one of your prizes is being paid. Try again afterwards.
My wallet app is not in the list
Use Search wallet in the window. If your wallet does not support WalletConnect, install one that does (MetaMask and Trust Wallet are free) or use a computer with a browser extension.

Questions
Why do I have to sign a message?
The signature proves that you control the wallet, so the prize goes to the right place. Nobody else can link your wallet, and you cannot link someone else's.
Does it cost anything? Can TossKing move my funds?
No. A signature is not a transaction: no network fee, and nothing leaves your wallet. The message gives TossKing no access to your funds. TossKing will never ask you to approve a transaction or a spending permission: if a page does, it is not us.
Can I change my wallet later?
Yes, in your settings (My account) with Change wallet, except while you are checked in to a tournament or while a prize is being paid. To replace a wallet already linked, we first email you a sign-in link: open it, then change your wallet within 15 minutes. The 6-digit code is not enough.
Do I need a wallet for a private tournament?
No. A private tournament among friends has no prize: a pseudonym is enough to join. For public tournaments, a wallet is needed when there is a prize, and to play more than a few a day.A wallet is needed to check in to public tournaments.
Which network are prizes paid on?
USDC on Base, a public blockchain compatible with Ethereum, with very low fees. Your wallet address is the same on Ethereum and on Base, so you have nothing to configure. To see your USDC, open your wallet on the Base network.
